Ashley, our jumpy kitty

She's Ashley, she is almost a year old. Both her hind legs are paralyzed since she was a kitten, we got her checked by several veterinarians and apparently it's really inborn. She is one of the strongest cats I know and never did I felt that just having only her front legs functional is a hindrance to her. She does what normal cats do and she has incredible balance. Soon I'll try to ship a pet wheelchair for her here in the Philippines because sadly it's not available here in our country. Hopefully soon by then I'd be able to take her outside to run around.

Yoga center invites shelter cats to classes

This is a good way to spread awareness on adopting and fostering rather than buying pets. We should have projects like this in the Philippines

Recycled Pet collar

I was window-shopping something for my furbabies in local shopping mall when I came across these.

It's pet collars made from recycled billboards. Me being the tree hugger that I am immediately got interested to these pet collars primarily because it's made from recycled materials and that billboards are actually durable materials made to withstand extreme tempest weather.

They are pretty decent pet collars and for those who are frugal this pet collars are for you. Priced very cheaply at 29.99 pesos for the small size and 39.99 pesos for the bigger one. Kudos to SM Pet Express for selling this pet collars and being Mother Nature friendly. I'm looking forward to seeing more recycled pet products in the future

Second Chances

His name is Miley, found and rescued by a friend of mine from someone who apparently threw him hard on a sidewalk gutter. His eye was badly emaciated to the point that it bulged out of its socket

He underwent an Enucleation surgery to remove the infected eye. Thanks to the wonderful doctors of Mandaluyong Animal Care Dog and Cat Hospital Miley had a successful operation and recovery.

He is now approximately 3 months of age, very healthy and active little boy. Growing day by day he showed me that every fight that you deem righteous and benevolent is worth fighting for. Every soul deserves respect and love and the chance to live and experience life to it's fullest.

Spark Change

Change starts with each one of us. If you want to see change it should begin within ourselves, if you want to see change, be an example.
